According to South Carolina Highway Patrol, at approximately 11 a.m. on June 24, the driver of an Audi sedan was traveling at a high rate of speed on Highway 52, south of the city limits of Kingstree when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a trailer being pulled by a truck.
